When Heidi, who used to be called Parker, met Ed Savitt, they both realized they had discovered their ideal match.
The two people first crossed paths at a college in England back in 2011, where they got to know one another and eventually fell in love.
Soon after, their relationship got more serious, and they decided to live together.
They believed they understood everything about one another, but a lunch with Heidi’s mom would show them that she had way more insight into their lives than they ever thought possible.
Heidi and Ed had many reasons to throw a party for finishing their studies at Newcastle University in England.
They not only graduated together, but they also discovered their lifelong partner.
Mother reveals coincidence
After dating for four years, Heidi and Ed’s parents were finally going to meet their kids’ significant others. They all decided to go out for dinner, and during the meal, Heidi’s mom, Kay Parker, shared a really cool coincidence.
When Heidi was just six years old, she developed a crush on a boy named Ed while they were on summer vacation. At the time, nobody really paid much attention to it. However, two weeks later, Kay found out something that turned everything upside down.
Heidi’s mom had found an old photograph of Heidi along with the boy Ed while she was looking through her attic.
The photo was taken during a family trip to Turkey in 1997, but the boy named Ed looked really familiar. Heidi’s mom quickly realized that this young boy was the same Ed who was with Heidi today!
“When my mom found the first photo of us she sent it to me and I was stunned. I actually had to lie down,” Heidi told The Independent.
Inseparable as kids
Ed requested his parents to search through their collection of photos, and they discovered five more pictures of him and Heidi together.
During that holiday, Ed and Heidi were always together and held hands nearly all the time. Now, they can keep holding hands for as long as they want.
Earlier this summer, the couple married in a beautiful English manor house built in the 12th century.
Heidi can hardly believe that the two had been dating for so long thinking this was the first time they had met.
“We had been together for four years when we found out so it’s mad to think we might never have known,” Heidi told The Independent.
“People keep telling us that it must be fate and that it’s like the plot of a movie!”
